About Me
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Peter DiMaggio is an award-winning actor and multi-instrumentalist composer whose artistry bridges stage and studio. A self-taught musician, DiMaggio plays piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, harmonica, and more. After studying acting at Interlochen Arts Academy, Boston University (BFA), and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, he built a thriving theater career with acclaimed companies such as SpeakEasy Stage Company, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Actors’ Shakespeare Project, Sh!t-faced Shakespeare, and Wheelock Family Theatre — where he earned an Elliot Norton Award for his work in The SpongeBob Musical.
Currently, DiMaggio has upcoming appearances in Lizard Boy (SpeakEasy Stage Company), which opens on October 24 to November 22, and A Christmas Carol (Commonwealth Shakespeare Company) from December 6 to 23. His on-screen work includes the award-winning short film Shampoo (2024) and Dissection Day (Fatale Films), currently making the rounds in the national and international festival circuit.
As a composer, DiMaggio’s credits include the original musical Max’s House (The Tank NYC, regional tour) and the film score for The Fairy House (Another Age Productions). His music can be streamed across all major platforms.
Peter has immense gratitude for his mentors, friends, and family for supporting him throughout his artistic journey.
